Social Media Editor (Freelance)

Social Media Editor - Sport 

Leading sports channel with high level presence on linear and digital platforms across Europe is looking for editors to operate on English language accounts across a variety of platforms, creating engaging posts and content, interacting with our audiences and promoting the best of our clients coverage and output.

Responsibilities include 

• Execute against the social media strategy, content production and media approach for the company and its sports output.
• Work with social media agencies, other local social media teams and support the content creation teams in executing best practices against that strategy.
• Working with the Central strategy team who will set the right KPI’s and strategy that supports the overall Digital Goals.
• Utilise our Social Media Guidelines and Playbook per platform for teams to work to and align our best practices.
• Be the day to day relationship owner with our social audiences, keeping them engaged and enthused by Eurosport and our content.
• Read and react to weekly/monthly social media reporting from our insights team to make sure we are data led in our development.
• Collaborating with wider corporate teams, our rights holders, talent and other relevant brands to maximise the reach and consumption around our content.

You will need 

• At least some experience of managing social media accounts for a sports related brand.
• A strong understanding of the social media landscape and the platforms the brand can and does operate in.
• A passion for digital and particularly social first content with an understanding around how that content is created and produced.
• A passion for sports, particularly Football, Tennis, Cycling as well as an interest in the biggest sporting event on the planet, The Olympic Games.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and to work independently and within a team.
• Prepared to adapt and be flexible around working in sport, loves the unpredictable and thinks on their feet
• Strong perspective on creative culture and practice

Freelance role 

£140 a day to Umbrella

8hr shifts as required.
